Shipping
Our policy is that we do not make a profit from shipping. Some sellers make a profit from both the sale of the item and shipping. That is their decision, but not one we follow.
Having said that, we ship out our displays in new boxes. To help cover the cost of the new boxes (since we do not make a profit on shipping), we do charge somewhere between $1 to $4 depending upon the size of the box. The charge is only half of what we are charged for the boxes so we are splitting the cost of the box with you.
When we sell an item through E-bay, they estimate the cost of the shipping, and therefore the shipping charges are sometimes off. If this happens we will refund any difference in the cost of shipping the package. If the shipping cost is more than when eBay estimated, will pay the difference.
This seems to be a very fair policy to everyone involved.
We have started using biodegradable peanuts to ship our displays. The peanuts are made from organic starch and will dissolve in water. This means it is good for the environment. However, we also try to recycle the scarp pieces of styrofoam left over from the build by using them for packing material as well. If you prefer your display to be sent strictly using biodegradable peanuts, we will do everything we can to accommodate your request, but we can not guarantee it because the biodegradable peanuts are not always available.
